MALMAISON MANCHESTER
Malmaison Manchester is a 4-star, boutique hotel located on Princess Street in central Manchester. This project was constructed within the premises of the former Phoenix Group House, previously known as Pearl Insurance.
OUR WORK
Vision began working with Malmaison Manchester in 2020, building on the success of numerous previous projects and the latest project at Malmaison York in 2022. Tasked with replicating the operational functionality and the concepts of the York hotel, Vision completed the design and implementation of the main restaurant kitchen and bar, in addition to the seductive 7th-floor rooftop bar and restaurant, Sora, for their second Manchester hotel.
OUR WORK
Given the diverse layout of this project spanning the basement, ground floor, and the elevated 7th floor, meticulous attention was given to design logistics. Our primary focus was on optimising spatial arrangements to ensure seamless coherence across all levels. In contrast to the York hotel, the Manchester project presented a unique set of challenges, particularly in the scale of the kitchen, which was notably smaller. Prompting the need for creative solutions in the design process to effectively accommodate the limited space.
Despite challenges with site access and scale, the project was a huge success. Vision established a great working relationship with all partners involved and this collaboration facilitated the effective resolution of issues.
