CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19)
CONTINGENCY PLANNING
With the current News coverage of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), we are preparing for any impacts the business may face and are putting contingencies in place in order to trade as normal, in case circumstances change. As a customer of ours, we wanted to brief you on this, so you are aware of our plans to minimise any disruption to the business.
Vision Commercial Kitchens are continuously monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, in line with local and national authorities, public health advice and WHO guidelines. As the situation evolves and changes so must our strategies, ensuring firstly, the health, well-being and safety of our employees, partners and customers is considered and prioritised.
Secondly, that our business continues to support our customers with non or minimal disruption or impact. Vision is working closely with our suppliers and partners, ensuring we are continuously evaluating and minimising any risks of supply of goods and services.
Currently given the UK stock that our suppliers hold and the large range of supplier partners we work with, we do not currently forsee any disruption to the supply of products, goods and services.
Where there could be a potential disruption, we have alternative supply partners from alternative manufacturing plants and countries that we can call on to supply equal or equivalent goods to our customers.
In terms of the day to day operation we have put plans in place with our staff to ensure we can continue to work as normal; these are as follows:
Staff working from home
In order to mitigate the risks, we have asked all homeworkers to remain working from home and to conduct meetings via Microsoft Teams rather than visiting the office.
Self-isolation contingencies
If a member of our team needs to self-isolate but doesn't have symptoms, we have made provisions for staff to work from home.
This includes:
-
In-house staff being provided with laptops with the anti-virus checked and set up with VPN access to our server and Microsoft Teams for conference calling and meetings.
-
Staff who would require access to their office desktops (due to specification, speed and capacity), will have them delivered to their home, again with access to our server.
Other steps we are taking in addition to the preparation's for potential home working include:
-
Training for Microsoft Teams to facilitate team meetings with staff and customers both in the office and at home.
-
Additional hand wash/ hand sanitiser to be made available.
-
Continued updates and briefing, in line with local and national authorities, public health advice and WHO guidelines.
Our aim is to keep our staff safe and to have a plan in place to trade as normal.
Please be assured we are doing everything possible to mitigate and remove risk both to personal health and well-being and to the supply of our products, goods and services.
