Kearsley Academy is a state-of-the-art school in the North West, committed to providing education of the highest quality. To support its students and staff, the Academy required a high-capacity catering facility to replace its outdated provision.
Vision Commercial Kitchens was appointed to design, supply, and install the new kitchen and servery counters, ensuring the facility could meet demand at peak times.
Meeting a high-capacity brief
The brief required the ability to serve food to 900 students within just 90 minutes. Vision’s design addressed this challenge with a carefully planned kitchen and counter layout, supported by reliable equipment chosen for its sustainability and performance.
Adapting to changing requirements
With no Catering Manager in post until three months before completion, Vision worked independently from their industry expertise to meet the specification. Six weeks before handover, the main contractor required a complete kitchen layout change due to access issues. Vision reacted quickly, adapting designs and orders to suit the revised plan without delaying the project.
Training and long-term support
Training was provided on all equipment, ensuring operators were confident with the new kitchen from day one. Vision has continued to support the Academy since completion and has also delivered further projects with the main contractor, reflecting their satisfaction with the work carried out at Kearsley Academy.
