Vision Commercial Kitchens returned to Co-Op Live, Manchester, to deliver alteration works that built on our original project at the venue. The operator wanted to adapt to a new menu and speed up service without the cost and disruption of a full kitchen replacement.

Smart Alterations for Faster Service

Working closely with the operator and Oak View Group, our team carried out a focused redesign of the Level 2 main kitchen. The central island was rotated so refrigeration now faces the cookline — a simple but significant adjustment that improves efficiency and speeds up service.

To ensure consistency across the venue, we specified trusted suppliers already in use elsewhere on site, including Middleby UK, Foster Refrigerator and LLK Pizza. The project involved:

  • Pilton Installations – on-site installation and making good works

  • CED Fabrications – converting ambient units to heated

  • CSI – relocating and installing equipment

Phase 2 of the works will see Vision install seven new heat lamps across the serving hatch, further enhancing speed and service capacity.

Testimonial

"A very smooth and positive project from planning, communication, and organisation through to the physical completion, which was fast and efficient.  We appreciated the strong communication and solution-focused approach when there was a challenge with the power (which was a venue related issue).  The final work was of a very high quality and has made hugely beneficial impacts to the workflow and created a much better operation, driving faster and better-quality food than the previous set-up." James Hart, Executive Chef Director, Eastlands Venue Services Ltd.
