Inside Our Projects: Community and Restaurant Kitchen Installations

Vision Commercial Kitchens delivers projects across a wide range of sectors, from community venues to high-energy restaurant environments. While many of our larger projects become detailed case studies, smaller installations often provide just as much insight into the day-to-day work our teams deliver.
Below are three recent projects that demonstrate the variety of environments we work in and the practical challenges involved in designing and installing commercial kitchens that perform reliably in real-world settings.

Below are three recent commercial kitchen installations delivered by the Vision team
St Andrews Church Hall Kitchen Installation, West Kirby

Vision recently completed an upgrade to the kitchen at St Andrews Church in West Kirby, providing a more robust and practical setup for the church hall’s day-to-day activities.
The existing kitchen had previously been fitted with domestic-style equipment, which was no longer suitable for the range of uses the hall now supports. The client, Father Brian Bell, required a more durable solution that could comfortably handle regular use by both the church and independent groups who hire the space for events and community activities.
Rather than forming part of a wider building refurbishment, this project focused specifically on upgrading the kitchen itself, introducing commercial-grade equipment and bespoke units designed to improve reliability, usability, and overall functionality.

Because the kitchen units were bespoke, careful attention was given to detailed site measurements during the design stage. Particular consideration was also required around the existing utility meters within the space, which needed to remain in place. The new kitchen layout and fabrication were therefore designed to accommodate these constraints, avoiding the need for costly and disruptive relocation works.
The finished kitchen features bespoke Steel Plan units alongside a selection of reliable commercial equipment, including Blue Seal Turbofan ovens and a Classeq dishwasher specified to provide a higher throughput than typical domestic machines. Drop-on induction hobs were also incorporated into the design, allowing them to be stored away when not required and helping keep the space flexible for different uses.
The result is a durable, easy-to-use kitchen that supports the hall’s varied activities while providing the reliability expected from a commercial-grade installation.
Brooklands Park Community Centre Café

Vision recently delivered a café kitchen as part of the new-build Brooklands Park Community Centre, working alongside Robert Perkins Construction, a contractor we have successfully partnered with on previous projects.
Designed to support a wide range of users, the kitchen specification focused on simplicity, durability, and energy efficiency. Community facilities often require equipment and layouts that are intuitive to operate, allowing staff, volunteers, and different user groups to work comfortably and safely within the space.
Through close coordination with the wider project team, the installation was delivered smoothly while maintaining the agreed budget and ensuring the kitchen was ready for operation as the building neared completion.
The project included equipment from Maidaid Halcyon, Lincat, CED, and SMEG, selected to provide reliable performance while remaining straightforward to operate and maintain.
Training is now being delivered as part of the handover process, ensuring the kitchen team can make full use of the facilities from day one.
Love Shack Restaurant

Vision was introduced to Natalia Silvester’s Love Shack restaurant project after the client’s original catering equipment distributor was unable to deliver the scheme.
Following the introduction, our team worked closely with the client to support the complete redesign and refurbishment of the existing kitchen, helping bring an exciting new fast-food restaurant concept to life.
The project presented a number of practical challenges. The kitchen environment itself was extremely tight, meaning the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment had to be carried out with a high degree of precision. In addition, the location in Guernsey introduced further complexity, requiring careful coordination of shipping, freight logistics, installation, and ongoing warranty and engineering support.
Through detailed planning and close coordination, the team ensured that equipment delivery, site works, and installation were aligned, allowing the project to be completed efficiently despite both spatial and logistical constraints.
The finished kitchen supports a fast-paced service environment, with equipment selected to prioritise speed, efficiency, and consistent output.
Manufacturers included Henny Penny, Blue Seal, Adande, Roller Grill, Carter Hoffmann, Robot Coupe, and Clay Oven, forming a robust and high-performance setup suited to the restaurant’s operational concept.
Projects like these highlight the diversity of environments Vision Commercial Kitchens works within, from community-focused facilities to energetic restaurant kitchens.
Each project brings its own operational requirements and site constraints, and our role is always the same: to design and deliver commercial kitchens that work reliably for the people using them every day.
