Future Tech Studio is a Studio School for 14–19 year olds, designed to better prepare young people for the world of work. To enhance its catering provision, the school commissioned Vision Commercial Kitchens to deliver a new café servery.
Innovative café design
Vision’s in-house design team developed a layout for the café counter and back bar that was both visually appealing and highly functional. The servery had to include a self-contained cooking area where food could be prepared and served directly to students.
Given the fixed space available, the design required innovation to ensure all essential equipment was incorporated.
Fast-track installation
Installation was completed in just four days by two teams: one handling the main equipment installation and another responsible for joinery and the counter. Despite a challenging four-week build window, much shorter than the typical six weeks, the project was delivered smoothly and on time. The dedicated Project Manager and Key Account Manager visited regularly to oversee progress, coordinate services, and ensure the client remained informed throughout.
A bright, multi-functional facility
The finished café counter is bright, appealing to students, and designed around multifunctionality. The layout allows meals to be prepared and served from a single area, making it highly practical within a busy school environment. Staff and students have responded positively to the facility, praising both its appearance and ease of use.
