The University of Portsmouth refurbished its library facilities, adding a new coffee shop within the building. Vision Commercial Kitchens worked alongside contractor Overbury to design, specify and install the counter and equipment to a high-quality finish, meeting a tight turnaround.
Coffee Shop in the University Library
As part of a large-scale library refurbishment, the University required a new coffee shop that would serve students and staff while complementing the modernised environment. With a quick programme from initial quote to completion, Vision ensured quality remained central throughout design and installation.

Design & Delivery
The specification and finish were critical, with exacting standards from the architect, building contractor and client. Vision supplied and installed the full counter and all integrated equipment. The curved counter top, supplied through CED, provides a strong focal point and sets the tone for the space. Vision collaborated with contractor Overbury, drawing on an established working relationship to deliver efficiently on site.
Programme & Outcome
Despite the quick turnaround, the coffee shop was completed to the required standard and integrated seamlessly into the refurbished library. The result is a high-quality facility that caters to modern student expectations for quality and innovation.
