Vision first met the owners of Ducks Hill Garden Centre at the Glee exhibition in 2012. With no catering offer in place, they wanted to establish a coffee shop. Vision advised on the best size and location within the site and set out a clear path to delivery in Ruislip | London.
From idea to seating plan
The brief was to integrate a 60-seat coffee shop within the garden centre, with scope for growth via additional outside seating. Early advice covered size, positioning and layout so the operation would work day-to-day for guests and staff.

Converting a storeroom into a full kitchen
With no existing kitchen or allocated space, Vision converted an old storeroom to construct the new kitchen, establishing the back-of-house needed to support the offer and aligning it with the planned front-of-house flow.
Turnkey delivery: equipment and fit-out
Vision delivered a full turnkey package, including:
Kitchen equipment and a bespoke counter
All M&E works, walls and ceilings
Complete light-equipment fit-out: tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glassware, kitchen utensils, chefs’ clothing and hygiene products

Programme & outcome
Works were completed on time, with the coffee shop opening on the target date. The new offer made a significant impact on footfall across the garden centre and the restaurant has continued to be incredibly successful since launch.
