Vision Commercial Kitchens supplied, installed and project managed the catering facilities for Mondrian London, a flagship hotel on the South Bank. Our scope covered multiple areas across the building, with a focus on dependable operation, clear service routes and high-quality finishes to match the hotel's design intent.

FCSI Award for Outstanding Project Management

Ground-floor restaurant & oval bar

On the ground floor, Vision installed the main restaurant kitchen with clear circulation from the servery to the food-prep areas. The front-of-house layout includes an open-servery counter with a granite top positioned behind a distinctive stainless-steel oval bar that serves the restaurant. The configuration supports efficient service during busy periods, keeping prep, pass and front-of-house closely connected while maintaining separation between customer areas and the back-of-house workspace.

12th-floor rooftop function bar

The rooftop private function space on the 12th floor features a large bar designed by Tricon Foodservice Consultants and supplied and installed by Vision. The bar front is finished in gold metals and includes chilled bottle storage and two cocktail stations, with a dedicated back-of-house area also installed by Vision. The space caters for up to 300 guests at private events, combining strong visual impact with practical storage and service points to keep throughput smooth during high-demand functions.

Basement production kitchen & back-of-house

In the basement, the hotel houses its main production kitchen with a central cooking area and extraction. Adjoining facilities include seven main chilled and freezer rooms, dry stores, a beverage store and a cellar. There is a dedicated butchery and fish preparation and storage area, plus a laundry room. Staff welfare is supported by a canteen capable of 50+ covers, ensuring teams can take breaks on site while service continues without interruption.

Project management & recognition

This multi-area delivery required careful coordination across trades and floors to meet programme and quality expectations. For this project, Vision were awarded the FCSI Award for Outstanding Project Management, working alongside Tricon Foodservice Consultancy. The result is a set of kitchens and bars that combine robust back-of-house performance with premium front-of-house presentation.
