Brief & Objectives
The client’s vision was to establish a high-end bakery café offering handmade breads and pastries of the highest quality. Their initial brief to Vision was to design, supply and install the kitchen and bar areas. As the project developed and trust grew, the scope expanded to include a bespoke food counter, a coldroom and air conditioning for the kitchen.
Design & Delivery
The counter was at the heart of the concept. The architect envisaged an impressive, monolithic block with seamless joins to create a dramatic customer focal point. Vision brought this to life, delivering a 14-metre granite counter that showcases Vivo's freshly prepared produce.The site's high-street location required the kitchen to produce large volumes while maintaining artisanal quality. Vision overcame the challenge of limited space by designing a compact but high-capacity facility and specifying robust equipment to deliver consistency day after day.
Programme & Outcome
Vision worked closely with the client and project team to keep the programme on track despite site constraints. The result was a fully operational bakery café bar with a striking customer environment and a back-of-house designed for efficiency and resilience. The finished facility gave Vivo complete control over the quality of its products and the ability to meet high-volume demand.
