The Old Railway Line Garden Centre in Brecon has grown into a premier destination since its founding in 1990. Following the success of its original coffee shop, the owners set out to expand from 40 to 150 covers with a brand-new restaurant and farm shop. Vision Commercial Kitchens was appointed to design and deliver a facility capable of meeting these ambitions.
From concept to completion
Vision was involved in every aspect of the project, from the front-of-house layout to the furniture, interior design, crockery, and even the toilets. The result was a true turnkey solution that allowed the owners to focus on running their business while Vision ensured the restaurant opened on schedule.
Creating a standout space
The project required transforming the building's corrugated steel roof into an architectural feature. With support from building specialists, Vision created a striking ceiling that incorporated tempered air conditioning and a state-of-the-art hot water system. The team also ensured the new kitchen supported both the restaurant and the adjoining farm shop.
Training and handover
Full staff training was provided on-site by equipment manufacturers, and a detailed health and safety manual was issued on completion. The owners were left delighted with their new restaurant, praising its design, functionality, and quality of finish.
